Is ChatGPT Go worth it?

Updated October 27, 2026 · Sources linked below

Short answer: Go ($8/mo in the US) is worth it if you like ChatGPT but keep running out of messages, uploads, images or voice on Free, and you don't need the advanced reasoning models. If you use ChatGPT a few times a week, stay on Free. If you need deeper reasoning for hard problems, or deep research you'll use often, pay for Plus ($20). Go may include ads.
